Good Harvest Market, Waukesha County's largest independently owned natural grocer, is currently seeking to hire a full-time Produce Stocker Clerk.

Along with stocking, this role will also assist in our fresh cut fruit program, ensuring prepared and packaged cut fruits are available on our produce floor for our customers to purchase.

Flexible retail availability including a blend of mornings, evenings and weekends is required.

This is a physically demanding position that is tasked with stocking large boxes / bags of produce inventory. The ideal candidate for this role can handle and enjoys physical labor and can frequently lift up to 70 lbs.

Our produce department features only certified organic produce, sourced locally whenever possible. We focus on artful displays of seasonal produce and intensive customer service.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Stocking (including washing, bundling and trimming), rotating, merchandising and facing product according to department procedure and management expectation.
• Properly learn expectations and maintenance of produce wet rack.
• Willing to learn and maintain a growing knowledge of produce, with an emphasis on organic production, and provides information to customers regarding use and preparation.
• Maintain sample product on floor (rotate, maintain, and dispose of as needed).
• Disposes of culls according to department procedure.
• Maintains back-stock areas according to department standards.
• Properly opening and / or closing the department as directed.

Qualifications :

• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Minimum one year prior produce stocking experience preferred.
• Flexible retail availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand for 4+ hours at a time.
• Strong work ethic.

Environmental / Physical Conditions

• Constant walking, reaching, and bending,
• Frequent squatting, climbing, and lifting.
• Temperatures of environment will vary. (working walk-in and reach-in refrigeration units for extended time periods, unloading pallets outdoors in cold / hot / rainy / snowy weather)
