Position Overview : The Accounting Manager will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role involves managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, overseeing budgeting processes, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Management : Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting : Lead the budgeting process, develop financial forecasts, and monitor performance against budgets.

Provide variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.

Team Leadership : Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Conduct performance reviews and identify training opportunities.

Compliance and Reporting : Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Coordinate audits and prepare necessary documentation for external auditors.

Cost Analysis : Analyze production costs and recommend cost-saving measures. Collaborate with operations to assess product profitability and pricing strategies.

Internal Controls : Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Collaboration : Work closely with other departments, including operations and sales, to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.

Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the accounting function to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

5+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable, particularly in sectors related to transportation or construction.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
