Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented, and seasoned Project Accountant looking for a thrilling opportunity in the Architecture and Engineering industry?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Accountant to join our team remotely in California. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work with a team of passionate professionals.
Responsibilities :
As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial management team. Your tasks will include but are not limited to :
1. Managing and maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
2. Reconciling all accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
3. Preparing and presenting detailed annual budgets, including forecasting future financial needs.
4. Managing accounts receivable, ensuring all payments are received and recorded accurately.
5. Collaborating with project managers to monitor project budgets, identify any financial risks, and recommend cost-saving strategies.
6. Providing detailed financial reports to senior management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
7. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
8. Assisting with financial audits, providing all necessary documentation and information to auditors.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role, you will need :
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project accounting role, preferably in the Architecture and Engineering industry.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels.
8. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
10. Willingness to stay updated on the latest industry trends and developments.
