Seeking Full Time Litigation Paralegal, with 2 years experience, for our expanding Boutique Intellectual Property and civil law firm based in Los Angeles, CA.
YOU :
- Maintain litigation calendar (Clio), including motion / discovery deadlines and appearances.
- Visual capacity and digital dexterity to operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
- Type, proofread, edit and / or assemble and / or serve legal documents, including but not limited to, pleadings, discovery, contracts, subpoenas, legal memoranda, letters, proposals and / or other documents (including cite checking, e-filing, blue-backs, courtesy copies).
- Produce a variety of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other documents.
- Use of billing system to enter time and expenses.
- Basic legal research.
- Assist in the preparation for meetings, hearings, mediation, arbitration, and other appearances.
- Guide the work of other secretaries and support staff.
- Scan or classify information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria, or chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order.
- Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail.
- Maintain office procedures.
- Organize and maintain legal files and records.
- Work hard, take initiative and stay organized.
