ERP / 3rd Party Applications M&A Project Manager

Our client, the largest and fastest-growing health system in South Carolina, is looking to expand its Project Management team to provide oversight across the IT and Infrastructure teams in relation to recent acquisitions.
This individual will act as a hybrid resource at the newly acquired hospital locations, communicating cross-functionally across various areas of IT and applications teams.
Ultimately, this individual will be guiding and coordinating projects and strategy to ensure the successful integration of ERP, 3rd party application, and acquisition-related initiatives.
This Healthcare M&A Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading the integration and alignment of ERP systems and third-party applications during mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within the healthcare industry.
This role requires expertise in managing complex ERP transitions, system consolidations, and ensuring business continuity while supporting the strategic goals of the merged entities.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of healthcare systems, compliance standards, and the technical aspects of M&A activities, especially as they pertain to Workday and third-party software.
Key Responsibilities :
- M&A Integration Leadership :
- Manage end-to-end technical projects during M&A initiatives, focusing on ERP and third-party application integration.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with strategic M&A objectives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth transitions.
- ERP & Application Management :
- Assess existing ERP and 3rd party systems within merging organizations.
- Lead the integration, migration, and / or consolidation of ERP systems, ensuring compatibility, security, and compliance.
- Manage data migration efforts, ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal business disruption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure third-party applications are properly integrated post-merger.
- Compliance and Security :
- Ensure all system integrations comply with healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
- Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies during system transitions.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and IT security teams to safeguard sensitive patient and operational data during the merger.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting :
- Serve as the point of contact between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and deliverables to executive management and other key stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among IT, finance, operations, and clinical teams during system transitions.
- Change Management & Training :
- Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
- Lead training efforts for end-users on new ERP and third-party systems post-merger. Qualifications :
- Education :
- Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience :
- 5+ years of experience in project management, particularly in ERP implementation, system integration, and healthcare M&A.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale Workday ERP / 3rd party application integrations in the healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
- Technical Skills :
- Expertise in Workday systems and third-party healthcare applications
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, data migration, and system security.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with healthcare IT system integrations or software transitions during mergers and acquisitions.
- Certified in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, PRINCE2).
- Experience in change management and training within healthcare organizations.
