The Swift Group is looking for a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our team and apply industry best practices for data analysis over complex data sets.
The successful candidate will assess data sets, provide recommendations for enhancements, and collaborate with various stakeholders, including data scientists, analysts, project managers, and engineers.
This role involves working closely with customers and leadership to implement tasks and deliverables that comply with project schedules, priorities, and standards.
This position is onsite in McLean, VA.
Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize industry best practices for data analysis over complex data sets.
- Assess data sets and provide recommendations for enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, project managers, and engineers.
- Work with customers and leadership to implement tasks and deliverables that meet project schedules, priorities, and standards.
- Provide technical consultation, meeting coordination, and support, including Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) and preparation / support of technical briefings.
- Contribute to writing and updating technical documentation.
Required Qualifications :
- 16+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience using Excel and Python to conduct complex data analytics.
- Strong understanding of database methodologies, including proficiency in SQL or Elasticsearch.
- Experience analyzing both large and small data sets for trends and patterns.
- Ability to produce informational or contextual products that explain findings for a variety of audiences.
- Proficient data analytics skills, including detailed data analysis and metric generation.
- Strong briefing and writing skills.
- BA / BS Degree or five years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- US Citizenship and an active TS / SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications :
- Experience supporting the technical process of vetting requests for analytical comparison against organizational data holdings.
- Ability to translate user needs into appropriate methods and measures to provide data insights.
- Experience with data visualization and data validation routines.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
- MA / MS Degree.
