- Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
- NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)
- Start : 12 / 2 or 12 / 16 - Bi-weekly orientation
- Guaranteed Hours : 36 (will accept 48 upon request)
- Patient Population : Trauma, Ortho (broken hip / femur), Neuro (scheduled neck and back, spine / rib fx).
- Unit Strengths : Staff and leadership treat travelers as their own. Manager has been on the unit since 2017.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Experience REQUIRED : Three years as RN, one full year ortho / neuro / trauma, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.
- Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Schedule Information
- Contract Length : 13 weeks
- Primary location : Midtown
- Shift Requirement : 12hr Days 6 : 30-7
- Float Requirement : First to float within skillset. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
- On Call / Call Back Requirement : N / A
- Weekend / Holiday Requirement : Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
Unit Specific Information
- Skillset REQUIRED : Strong neuro assessment, log rolling patients, applying assistive devices (back brace, immobilizer), Tele / 12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test), PIV insertion.
- PREFERRED : Chest tube / indwelling drain management, drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), epidural management, PEGs / NGs, Buck’s traction, pin site care, On-Q management, CIWA / BH, wounds (packing, wound vacs).
Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates
