Position Specific Responsibilities :

Engage with our students, not just in a passive way, but instead captivate & recruit them to the College’s programs highlighting why we stand out compared to others.

Coordinate tours & info sessions to showcase the amazing things they will be a part of as a student with WSU. Provide personalized information regarding questions, needs or other details important for the College’s population to know.

Craft creative content for various social media platforms, while understanding the different populations that trend on those platforms.

Assist in website management to showcase more about our students & what they have accomplished from being a WSU student.

Summary of Responsibilities :

Develops and implements communications content and strategies to achieve business goals. Collaborates with faculty and staff in a specific college, department, program and / or specific focal area to coordinate and expand student recruitment efforts.

Serves as a recruitment coordinator for schools and organizations that align with the recruitment strategy.

Essential Functions :

• Oversees communications efforts for projects, campaigns, events, programs and / or services.
• May lead staff in the design and implementation of communications content.
• Develops and implements recruitment programming.
• Coordinates with related departments to facilitate recruitment and communications processes and procedures to enhance and streamline the student admission process.
• Represents specific University colleges, departments or programs at specified schools, college and community fairs, public presentations, and / or seminars.
• Participates in on and off campus recruitment programs, including group presentations; greets walk-in and scheduled visitors;

maintains knowledge of all facets of the University.

• Communicates with students and educational stakeholders regarding academic programs and services, enrollment status, and requirements throughout the application and enrollment process.
• Creates, reviews, edits, and enhances messaging in news, print, audio, video and / or online publications and advertisements ensuring alignment with goals and objectives.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field by hire date.

Preferred Education :

Two (2) years of experience in recruiting, admissions or related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and function in multiple work environments as a creative problem solver.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.

Salary Information :

Pay Information : Range beginning $19.23 / hr, adjusted based on qualifications. Overtime Eligibility : Yes.
