Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team in Yuma, AZ. The ideal candidate will be a generalist who is ready to support various areas within the inpatient setting.

Sign-On Bonus : & $20,000 (Must make a 2-year commitment, includes 3 months housing and $10K relocation)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care in a decentralized pharmacy environment.
• Participate in code responses; ACLS certification preferred.
• Perform compounding and IV preparation as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Utilize electronic medical record systems (EMR), including EPIC, Lexicomp, and Baxter IQ, for medication management.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient medication history.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians during shifts and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies.
• Conduct medication therapy management, including Vanco AUC dosing.

RequirementsLicensure / Certifications

• Current Arizona Pharmacist License (decentralized role).
• ACLS certification preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience in a facility of similar size (approximately 250 census).
• Experience with Vanco AUC dosing is required.

Skills

• Strong understanding of decentralized pharmacy operations.
• Proficient with medication dispensing systems such as Omnicell, Central pharmacy robots, Omnicell XT cabinets, and Omnicell Controlled Substance cabinets.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Schedule

• Day and evening shifts available; flexibility is essential.
• Weekend requirements : every other weekend or one per month preferred.
• Holiday requirements : must work 2 out of 3 holidays.

Dress Code

Business casual attire with a white coat or khaki scrubs.

Orientation

• One day for New Employee Orientation (NEO).
• One clinical education session for EPIC training.
• One day of floor orientation.
