ART 120 Foundations in Digital Image Processes
ART 121 Computers in the Visual Arts Required Qualifications : Master’s degree in Visual Arts, Digital or Graphic Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field, or a master’s degree in another field with at least 27 graduate credit hours in Visual Arts, Digital or Graphic Arts or Design.
Preferred Qualifications : A minimum of two year’s teaching, training or consulting experience in a visual or digital arts field is preferred.
Teaching, training or consulting experience is preferred. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions : Requires the ability to work with staff and students.
Work is performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards. Essential Duties : Teach visual and digital art courses, which may include both computer-based and non-computer courses.
Demonstrate software knowledge, skills and experience including the Adobe Creative Suite and in-depth knowledge of the Macintosh operating system.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of traditional design methods and techniques.
Exhibit good classroom management skills.
Maintain accurate student records and meet deadlines associated with student performance and administrative details.
Participate in college activities and professional development as well as other duties expected of adjunct faculty.
