JOB SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Representative supports the outside sales team members in their effort to sell and service new and existing accounts.

The position is also responsible for performing certain assigned sales, and service functions for targeted customers. This position offers a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment, where you will be the front-line contact for major national and international corporations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Performs sales functions to include initiating and following up with customers to sell or resolve problems, answer questions and correspondence, and complete reports.
  • Prepares, processes, reviews and monitors various documents such as contracts and other documents, including pricing.
  • Conducts proactive customer contact and maintains customer records in CRM.
  • Contacts current and prospective customers to sell and explain products and perform account maintenance.
  • Prepares and presents proposals and quotes and recommends products based on customer needs.
  • Assists customers with supply chain and arranges payment terms in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Attends sales seminars, sales meetings or educational activities as assigned to stay up-to-date on the latest developments, trends and regulations in the marketplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Area Sales Managers with the development of new business, customers, products and applications.
  • Assist Purchasing Department with inventory management and procurement.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to find permanent solutions to customer problems or complaints.
  • Work with Area Sales Managers to build long-term business partnerships with strategic customers.
  • Gain valuable experience in technical and value-added selling.
  • Receive extensive training in industrial sales, products and applications.
  • Work directly with customers on job proposals, order requirements and product specifications.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree with business concentration preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience with ERP systems and Customer Service
  • The ability to understand mechanical specifications and drawings
