Job Description : Family Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the hospital setting, focusing on acute and chronic illness management.
- Conduct detailed assessments, develop treatment plans, and execute patient care in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on ongoing evaluations.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in code blue situations as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety initiatives.
Essential Qualifications :
- Must hold a valid Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the state of practice.
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Certification from a nationally recognized nurse practitioner certification body (e.g., ANCC or AANP).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Desired Experience :
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospitalist, emergency room, or critical care setting preferred.
- Experience in managing a diverse patient population with varying health needs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems and other healthcare technologies.
