Sustainability Writer

Location : Toledo, Ohio

Job Type : Contract

Compensation Range : $38 - 45 per hour

Cella has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in their quest for a talented Writer to join their team. This role will focus on owning the annual Sustainability report, contributing to a crucial aspect of the company's corporate communication strategy.

As the Writer, you will be responsible for crafting engaging, informative long-form content that reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability.

This is a hybrid role based in Toledo, Ohio, requiring onsite presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Responsibilities :

• Develop a deep understanding of the brand’s core principles, voice, and style guidelines to effectively translate business priorities into compelling, customer-centric content.
• Collaborate with Design and other stakeholders to create innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
• Interface confidently with senior leadership, integrating feedback to refine content and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, manage competing deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Act independently with initiative and flexibility, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in copywriting within agency or corporate environments.
• Proven ability to work autonomously while maintaining collaborative relationships.
• Thorough understanding of APA standards and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
• Track record of producing high-quality reports, eBooks, and similar content.
• Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
• Critical thinking skills to grasp brand essence and translate it into compelling narratives.
• Desired Skills : Previous experience working on sustainability reports or related corporate communications.Familiarity with project management processes and methodologies.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
