Supervises the plant warehouse function as directed. Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. This includes correcting unsafe acts / conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.
This is an onsite position in a 24 / 7 manufacturing metal food can production facility.
What you'll be doing :
Proficient in implementing 5S principles for efficient workplace organization and process optimization.
Supervises and coordinates the employees and activities of the plant warehouse function (and local outside warehouse, if applicable) as directed.
Maintains direct support to all departments in the plant via material handling.
Facilitates the transportation of inbound and outbound shipments of products and materials.
Reviews completed drayage tickets and bills of lading for completeness and accuracy prior to distribution.
Facilitates shipments of finished products and scrap.
Maintains and reports inventory status of finished goods and packaging materials.
Responsible for inventory accuracy and coordinates annual physical inventory.
Coordinates customer releases and orders with outside warehouse and other plants within the group and assists in procuring transportation for customer and warehouse of finished products.
May enter shipping releases into the MFG PRO system.
Ensures that all company property is properly maintained.
Facilitates training for subordinates.
Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.
Directly responsible for coordination with packaging sort house and packaging demand planners. It is solely the responsibility of the warehouse supervisor that the plant does not run out of packaging for production.
Maintain internal warehouse utilization at a goal of greater than 90%.
Mange FIFO for shipments and consumption.
Review and update the monthly Supply Chain scorecard.
Any other job-related duties deemed necessary by the direct manager.
This position is located at our Columbus, Ohio facility.

Compensation :
The annual base salary range for this role is from $75,040 to $84,420, plus a quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.
