Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Full Time W / Benefits- Newport News, VA Area
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide sign language interpretation for students in classroom settings and other school activities
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers using American Sign Language (ASL)
- Support students in understanding and engaging with the curriculum
- Collaborate with educators and other school staff to ensure that students' needs are met
- Assist in preparing and adapting educational materials to support student learning
Qualifications :
- Certified Sign Language Interpreter
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
