Job Description
Peterson Cat has a need for a Facilities & Security Project Manager who can be based at either our San Leandro, CA or Hillsboro, OR location.
SUMMARY
The Facilities & Security Project Manager oversees, supports, and / or manages various facilities-related projects, including but not limited to the development, implementation, and maintenance of security protocols and systems within Peterson facilities.
This position conducts risk assessments and coordinates with stakeholders to identify security needs. Responsibilities include monitoring security operations, responding to incidents, and managing relationships with external vendors.

General Project Management
Oversee, support, and / or manage assigned facilities projects as directed.
Ensure assigned projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
Coordinate with internal department experts regarding site, vendors, and employees.
Obtain permits, inspections and certifications required for construction and occupancy as required by applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and / or statutes.
Work with contractors and inspectors; maintain good working relationships with outside parties.
Prepare RFQs, track project costs and coordinate new vendor set up with procurement.
Take into consideration all aspects of environmental, human resources, IT, accounting, and treasury related aspects.
Research and work with procurement to qualify new contractors and vendors as needed.
Provide updates to leadership on progress, schedule, and budget on a regular basis.
Facilities Security
Coordinate with stakeholders to identify facilities security needs and requirements.
Oversee the planning, selection, installation, maintenance, updating, and troubleshooting of security fences, alarms, cameras, and other security systems for all Peterson locations.
Administer and maintain facilities access security systems and manage access problems.
Monitor, audit, report on, and document access security systems and procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to facility security.
Work with Safety Team to develop and implement security protocols and procedures for Peterson facilities.
Work with Corporate Services Supervisor to plan, select, install, maintain, update, and troubleshoot fleet security systems.
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with Peterson departments, law enforcement, and other relevant agencies as necessary.
Develop and maintain relationships with external security vendors and service providers.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into overall facility operations and planning.
Prepare and present reports on security metrics, incidents, and trends as needed.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging threats, and technological advancements in security systems.
Manage the budget for security-related projects and expenses.
Continuously evaluate and improve security procedures and protocols based on feedback and lessons learned.
Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with vendors, visit branch locations, and conduct site visits and walk-throughs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Business Administration or other closely related field; and a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience in project management, or other closely related field, preferably in a heavy industrial environment;
or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience with facilities maintenance and / or management preferred
Experience with facilities security preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Project Management certification : Project Management Professional (PMP), and / or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred
Agile certification preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
The pay range for this position is : $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 (Starting wage will depend on location, experience and education.
We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
