Staff Accountant - Baton Rouge, LA

Turner Industries Group is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. The General Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Non-exempt role; Reports to Officer, Senior Manager or Executive management at the corporate level; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.

Functional Requirements

• Understanding of Accounting Principles.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Analytical skills with ability to organize and multi-task.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Qualification Standards

• Associate's degree or higher
• One to five years of experience
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems
• Computer skills
• Organizational and analytical skills
• Post-offer drug / alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Applicant / employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace

Physical Involvement

May be required to do the following : reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; standing / sitting;
