A growing andinnovative multidisciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Mechanical Project Engineer for their FortLauderdale Floridateam!
Responsibilities :
- Performheating and cooling load calculations with Trace orHAP
- Developsections and elevations of complex ductwork / pipingareas
- Developequipment room sizes during SD and DDphases
- Editspecifications to reflect the projectrequirements
- Developair / waterflows
- Understandfan / pump curves to properly select equipment forapplication
- Usethe psychrometric chart properly for any HVACsystem
- Meetwith vendors to determine specification requirements forapplication
- Coordinatewith other disciplines for all HVACdetails
- Respondto RFI s for the project and accurately reviewsubmittals
- Understandwork planning and manage the design process to the available hoursin the workplan
- Understandthe proper scope of SD DD CD level documents and deliverappropriatedocumentation
- Modifysequences of operations for AHU s CHW and HWsystems
- Understandboth constant and variable flow systems and properly applyequipment
- Meetwith contractors during the bid phase to review the designdetails
- Performfield verification and takeoffs of existing systems for renovationprojects
Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineeringpreferred
- 5years of Mechanical Designexperience
- EIor PE Licensepreferred
- Experiencedesigning a variety of projects (Healthcare Commercial PublicSector Industrial Education and / or Institutionalprojects
- ProficientinRevit
Salaryis commensurate withexperience.
