About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Oncology Chemo Certified Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 30 - 17 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : None specified Experience : Minimum 2 years;
experience with outpatient chemo preferred License : Active, in process, or no license. If in process, provide applied date and estimated issue date.
Certifications : Chemo certification preferred Must-Have : Acute care med-surg oncology experience Job Description : Provide care for outpatient oncology patients with chemotherapy infusion appointments.
- Conduct radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and bone marrow biopsies.- Support outpatient MDs in clinic for infusion needs.
- Manage and care for drains, feeding tubes, PICC / Central lines, and Port-A-Cath / Vascular devices.- Administer and monitor syringe pumps and triple-lumen catheter use.
- Floating required to other campuses if the census is low; all facilities are within a 40-mile radius.- Must be flexible and dependable regarding floating needs within the scope of practice.
- Complete mandatory modules pre-start and annually, with an average of 16 hours spent.- Ensure references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are on file prior to application.
