We are looking for an Analytical Chemist to join our team and support the Flavors business in North America.

This position is a key member of the Sensient team, where you will be required to collaborate at our onsite in Hoffman Estates, 5 days per week.

What you will do :

• Perform flavor research and analysis functions as needed.
• Independently operate HPLC, GC, GC-MS for food and flavor analysis samples.
• Initiate and develop projects and initiatives to improve Analytical Services with respect to workflow, instrumentation, methodology, lab resources and data management.
• Proactively seek new, more efficient and accurate ways of conducting test procedures and practices to promote lab performance.
• Facilitate information sharing across groups to communicate analytical chemistry information to other groups within Sensient and to customers.
• Perform technical mentorship functions as needed.
• Ensure continuing technical and leadership development of staff.
• Assist in providing analytical perspective in budgeting process and be accountable for budget and results of team.

What you will bring :

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with 5+ years of experience in flavor analytical chemistry or related field.
• Or Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience or Ph.D.
