Description
Responsible for the daily operation of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standard, ensure staffing, business development, and in conjunction with the Director of Nursing, will construct and implement all policies and procedures pertaining to the operation of the ASC, including business development.
This position will build the ASC’s reputation with physicians, patients, third party payors, and the community in general.
Accountable for effective financial management.
Achieves the objectives of the ASC through establishing administrative policies in conjunction with the Surgical Medical Executive Committee of the Medical Staff, coordinating activities within the ASC and assuring that operations of the ASC meet with a high standard of care.
Complies with the requirements of any governmental or regulatory bodies having jurisdiction in the premises or use of the ASC, to meet such quality standards as set forth by the selected accrediting agency and assist the Medical Staff to ensure that medical practices and procedures meet such standards.
Provides oversight of the daily operations of the assigned department including staffing and developing / implementing workflows and processes as well as provides input to the leader regarding policies, procedures, systems, and operating budgets.
Responsible for direct nursing leadership, nursing staff development, patient care, and patient advocacy. This individual may perform RN duties to skillfully assess the patient’s health and respond to interventions, provide treatments, and offer education and counseling that lead to improvement of the patient / family’s self-management skills.
Supports continuous quality improvement efforts in order to achieve high quality and ongoing progress in all areas of care and service.

Certification / Licensure Required :
- Current RN nursing licensure in Minnesota
- Basic cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months
- Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS) certification within 1 year
Experience Required :
- 3-5 years of RN experience in surgical services
- Prefer 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience
