Planning and Purchasing Associate

As a Planning and Purchasing associate, you will research products, negotiate with vendors and purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest cost.

You’ll manage planning and forecasting across one or more product lines and ensure purchase orders are entered and monitored throughout the procurement lifecycle.

You’ll know your supplier and customer needs better than anyone else and are constantly thinking about what is next for the business.

Success in this role requires collaboration with other members of the team, strong attention to detail and follow-up, and the ability to quickly learn new technology and project management tools.

You’ll work with suppliers and cross functional team members at all levels and navigate interesting, complex challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Forecasting, planning, and purchase order execution across multiple brands, product categories, and / or vendors
  • Maintain vendor relationship and communicate performance as well as work with vendors to improve shipping processes
  • Collaborate with marketing, receiving teams, finance teams, and vendors to validate inbound shipment accuracy and timely delivery of purchased goods
  • Identify potential issues during the purchase order life cycle; performing root cause analysis and communicating findings;

recommending solutions to resolve issues; performing visual review of items to identify variances and evaluating products against specifications

Always look for creative ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and customer experience

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3 years Supply Chain experience
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work both collaboratively and independently
