What You Will Do...
- Responsible for documenting current production processes, ensuring that the resulting documents are clear and complete, addressing any critical safety and quality requirements.
- Responsible for handling technical concerns escalated from personnel on the shift, including escalation to the Process Improvement Manager or others as needed
- Responsible for identifying and executing continuous improvement projects throughout the production process.
- Works closely with the Lead Operator and shift Supervisor to ensure processes are followed safely and effectively.
- Responsible for communicating project or task status and expected completion date.
- Follow direction from the Process Improvement Manager on priorities and contribute ideas from the shift for consideration.
- Prepare reports or presentations for personnel across the organization to perform training or communicate project status as needed.
- Prepare appropriate shift hand-off information to ensure that the next shift is up to date on current activities. Also prepare summaries as needed for other members of the Operations group to understand problems or test results.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Previous Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and set an appropriate example for others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with personnel on the assigned shift.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be able to work in a production chemical processing environment, including wearing appropriate PPE (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hard hat at a minimum, respirators or other gear as needed).
- Must be able to perform hands-on processing duties, including sampling of chemicals and limited lifting requirements (up to 30 pounds).
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs as needed to obtain samples, observe processes, or perform similar tasks.
- Must be capable of working in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Job is on-site and cannot be performed remotely.
- Travel is generally not necessary but may be offered for training or other educational purposes.
Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
