Summary
The Assistant Manager, Compensation position will focus on the delivery of analysis, recommendations, and programs in support of compensation.
This will include forecasting equity utilization, managing and reporting on annual processes, evaluating programs against market, participating in relevant surveys, assisting with preparation of materials for senior leadership and detailed analysis of all aspects of employee compensation.
Responsibilities
- Primary Administer and manage various compensation programs, including base salary, bonuses, incentives, and other benefits Revamp company compensation philosophy Ensure that compensation programs and processes adhere to compensation policy and philosophy Designs and administers base, bonus, and merit pay programs in response to market trends and company needs Analyzes job data and recommends pay grade slotting and compensation packages (new or redefined positions) Reviews and maintains competitive pay grades and recommends adjustments to salary and hourly employee salary grids Participates in ongoing compensation and benefits surveys Develops highly efficient and effective total compensation processes and policies that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Communicate compensation policies and programs to employees in a clear and transparent manner Provide guidance and support during salary negotiations for new hires or existing employees Collaborate with recruitment teams to ensure competitive and attractive job offers Ensure total comp remains competitive and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Secondary Develop and manage executive compensation programs in collaboration with management Submits annual reporting as required by state and federal guidelines Special projects as assigned Ad hoc reporting as requested by other entities.
- Tertiary Forecast future compensation trends and propose adjustments as needed
Compensation
$86,000 - $96,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Compensation experience from midsize companies
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience managing annual compensation processes
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret data, detect trends, draw conclusions and formulate recommendations
- System implementation experience
- Adept at job pricing / market benchmarking practices, and US compliance practices (FLSA, OFCCP, etc.)
- Flexible approach, adaptable to change, and team player
- Experience managing and building executive compensation packages
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- 6 - 9 years of direct experience in compensation required
- 7 - 11 years of direct experience in compensation and benefits preferred
- 1 - 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Certified Compensation Professional preferred
