Demand Planner
Job Description
This Demand Planning position is responsible for all WW demand planner activities associated with service parts for Client Care.
The AC Demand Planner collaborates with cross-functional organizations, creates and maintains forecast models; incorporating business intelligence, install base and failure rate data.
A successful candidate will have a collaborative & proactive attitude, strong analytical skills, and the ability to think in a broad scope.
This position is highly visible, presenting to senior management and executives on a regular basis. Manage all aspects of demand planning and corresponding supply chain collaboration for a specific line of business.
Present forecast performance while highlighting changes in business trends in order to drive strategy conversations.
Analyze historical data to develop statistical lifecycle demand curves and / or forecast models for specific commodities / regions.
Assess demand drivers and macro trends and apply to forecasts.
Analyze impact of seasonality and other business events on demand pattern and apply appropriate adjustments.
Develop and maintain NPI and sustaining forecast models using SAP APO and other analytical tools. Track & improve forecast metrics through process development.
Collaborate with "Operations Research" team to implement system solution to support the DP process. Analyze historical data to identify and fix data integrity issues.
Analyze parts with low forecast accuracy and address root cause working with Supply Planners.
Manage forecast churn.
Participate in projects as the Demand Planning Subject Matter Expert.
Key Qualifications
Strong knowledge of forecasting methodologies and optimization techniques.
Strong knowledge of demand planning, supply planning and supply chain management.
Strong analytical capability and statistics skills.
Self-driven with a passion for solving complex business problems using applied statistics.
Ability to distill large and complex information down to simple, easy to understand terms and conclusions.
Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
Experience in presenting analytical content to senior management or executives.
Effectively and promptly communicate changes to model inputs and outputs that have significant relevance to business operations
Experience using a standardized forecasting tool such as SAP APO
Utilize database, SQL and Excel skills to collect, organize, and analyze data to support forecasting efforts
Play a leadership role in the standardization of deliverables; ensure adherence to commitments
Education
Requires BS degree, 3-5 years in a service, manufacturing or logistics operation or equivalent.
MS / MBA in Supply Chain or Operations is a plus.
