Location : 75% Remote and 25% Travel to Farmington Hills, MI

SUMMARY :
The Software Architect will be responsible for Software Design, SW Architecture for EOL and Diagnostics Solutions and develop future Technology and products in alignment with the Global Service Solutions Organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES :
- Work with Head of Engineering in developing, managing and implementing the organizations' product and technology roadmap and portfolio in alignment with the organizations strategy.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a good working relationship with internal and external customers as well as foster a customer intimate environment with the Program Management team.
- Support customer projects through proposals, issues meetings / lists, project reviews, customer feedback, and project financials.
- Key contributor for design and architecture of all products (System Design).
- Provide technical leadership for hardware and software development and maintenance teams.
- Key contributor for design and architecture of all hardware and software products
- Develop Software based on agreed / defined Architectures
- Contribute to ensure software products align with industry technologies and trends and customer requirements.
- Contribute that internal processes meet industry best practices.
- Responsible for mentoring developers and providing high level direction to teams.
- Accountable for software product strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelors or Master degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science is Required
- 7 or more years of Software Design experience is required
- Experience with Web services (.NET / Java) and Web Frontends based on HTML5 and JavaScript
- Good Knowledge of Relation and NoSQL Databases
- Excellent knowledge with C++ and QT with a proven track of record
- Knowledge of software industry best practices required (SCRUM is must)
- Experience in software product strategy and life cycle management required
- Knowledge of automotive bus communication beneficial
- Experience with automotive diagnostic software tools beneficial
- Good communication and customer-facing skills required
