Job Details
- RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
- Combination acuity unit : Adult medical surgical and surgical stepdown.
- Ratios : 1 : 6 for floor for surgical / medicine inpatient patients. Surgical Stepdown patients will be managed by stepdown trained nurse.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Years of Experience : Must have 2 years of surgical unit experience
- Traveler Experience : Travel experience is preferred but not required
- Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes
- Skills : Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response Teams, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, Peripheral Line Care / Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac , External CPAP / BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen face masks, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac
- MUST Pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty.
Schedule Information
- Shift : 12 HR NIGHTS; 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours.
- Contract Length : 13 weeks up to March 15 accepted
- RTO : 7 days MAX for Aya Auto Offer
- Float Requirement : when needed to like units
- Weekend Requirement : every other weekend
- Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster.
Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
