Job Summary
- Provide direct nursing care to patients according to organizational policies and procedures
- Promote safe care for patients during operative and invasive procedures as the RN Circulator
- Support the surgical team in maintaining sterility
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and provide individualized care
- Review charts for completeness before and after surgical procedures
- Adhere to health and safety standards
- Communicate with patients, teammates, and physicians for continuity of care
- Prepare the operating room for surgery
- Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safety standards
- Assume responsibility for keeping the operating room sterile
- Assist in passing medical instruments during surgery
Qualifications
- Required Credentials : RN license in Connecticut, Certified BLS Provider
- 2 years' experience as an Operating Room Nurse
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Strong understanding of patient safety and surgical procedures
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
