KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Privacy Operations to join our Enterprise Data Services organization.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the Privacy Operations lead, aligning first-line privacy process and technical integration to the firm’s Privacy Target Operating Model and controls, including but not limited to the Privacy Automation and process improvement program
- Establish and maintain relationships with business process owners, representative liaisons, subject matter experts, and the firm at large on first-line privacy matters
- Lead development, implementation, and management of the team, processes, and solutions to address day to day first-line operations as well as for regulatory required activities, for example, Privacy Self-Assessment, Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR), Data Mapping / Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), Transfer Impact Assessments (TIA)
- Execute privacy consultations in support of firm’s risk review processes assessing use cases developing new / changing data and technical solutions, business processes, and projects processing personal data
- Oversee development, delivery and ongoing maintenance of Privacy training, communications, and awareness programs, including but not limited to regulatory required privacy training HIPAA / GDPR / CCPA
- Establish a team environment that supports skills development to increase quality of service to the firm and grow team member capabilities
Qualifications :
- Minimum eight years of recent experience leading teams in executing operational processes and projects supporting personal information
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; CIPP and CISA Certifications preferred
- Proven experience and success in driving development of training and guidance on privacy topics; Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Deep knowledge of privacy regulations with an understanding of US and International Privacy Regulations along with working knowledge of CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA / HITECH, Privacy Shield, GLBA
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and manage risks related to the processing of personal data and develop appropriate internal controls to mitigate such risks
- Proven capability to work with variety of stakeholders at all levels and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and projects to promote privacy initiatives
