Maintenance Director
Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of DeLand is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee our maintenance operations.
The Maintenance Director will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of our facilities by managing the maintenance team, developing maintenance strategies, maintaining equipment, and overseeing maintenance projects.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the budget for the maintenance department and implementing cost-saving measures.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the maintenance team to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and strategies to maintain the facilities in excellent condition.
- Schedule maintenance work and prioritize tasks to ensure proper maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
- Review and approve maintenance budgets and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory statutes in the maintenance department.
- Develop vendor relationships and oversee contractor work activities.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
- Provide technical support and expertise to the maintenance team.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a maintenance supervisory role is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, practices, and equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- HVAC experience required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and able to take initiative.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
