The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
This role involves managing cloud deployments, monitoring system health, optimizing costs, and implementing industry best practices.
The CloudOps Manager will lead a team of engineers, work closely with cross-functional teams, and drive strategic initiatives to enhance our cloud capabilities.
Strong leadership skills, preferred but not required, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement organizational structures, recruiting the right blend of junior and senior employees, contractors, and consultants to build a robust team.
- Foster a high-performance culture through effective mentorship and coaching, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Oversee multiple work streams, both tactical and strategic, ensuring alignment with the organization’s highest priorities.
- Evaluate team performance regularly, identifying opportunities to enhance productivity and streamline processes.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the broader organizational goals, ensuring team solutions contribute to the overall strategic vision.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices such as Agile, Lean, and contemporary QA methodologies
- Focus on delivering solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Development pods and DevOps team.
- Implement and improve processes to ensure high standards of customer service and support.
- Skillfully prioritize tasks, discerning what requires full automation versus manual processes, and ensuring critical tasks are addressed promptly.
- Exhibit confidence in introducing and leading innovative work methodologies without requiring detailed guidance.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, effectively removing obstacles and ensuring smooth project progression.
- Identify and manage potential risks, including future roadblocks and security concerns, proactively developing mitigation strategies.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, tailoring messages for developers, managers, and executives to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Adapt messaging and approach based on the audience to facilitate understanding and cooperation across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- is preferred, but not required.
- Experience in cloud operations management with preferred and 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams, with a focus on mentoring and development.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Reasonable understanding of cloud security principles, tools, and best practices.
- Deep understanding of modern software development processes and methodologies.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement in work practices and processes.
