Nemours is seeking an Advanced Clinical Pathways Data Specialist to join our Nemours Children's Health team in either Jacksonville, Florida, Orlando, Florida or Wilmington, Delaware.
This is a Hybrid position.
The Transformation Office serves Nemours Children's Health by providing thought partnership, rigor, structure, and improvement using the Lean methodology.
The Transformation Office is comprised of the System Strategy, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Strategic Measurement and Clinical Pathways departments.
The Advanced Clinical Pathway Data Specialist serves as a liaison between our intelligence developers, data analysts, and clinical operations.
This person must possess an in depth understanding of advanced clinical practice, clinical data, Epic and information systems, as well as experience applying the methodology of process improvement.
The Advanced Clinical Pathway Data Specialist plays in instrumental role in the development, implementation, and deployment of clinical pathways by understanding the nuance of data and its application in clinical practice.
This person must be able to synthesize complex systems, operate in macro and micro level detail, and adapt to rapidly changing organizational needs and project requirements to deliver value to the organization.
The position demands a self-starter, comfortable working in a busy and dynamic environment with competing priorities. Their skills and experience should enable them to work independently, as needed, while being responsive and proactive with a strong work ethic.

- Support the assessment, development, implementation, and sustainment of clinical pathways by providing the clinical perspective to produce quality clinical data.
- Collaborate with the Advanced Clinical Pathway Development Specialist and other team members to create, organize, and communicate data requirements to the intelligence developer / data analyst, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the clinical pathway population and purpose.
- Oversee clinical data validation in development, analytics, and reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of clinical data definitions.
- Assist with optimization of the gap analysis application. Continuously monitor and evaluate quality outcomes for patient care using clinical pathways, while noting trends, and identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve.
- Utilize Qliksense to gather, share, and analyze basic data requests.
- Interpret clinical data for practical application to clinical operations.
- Collaborate with and support quality, medical staff, risk, safety, and infection prevention leaders in data initiatives.
- Participate in regular analysis of clinical pathways data through ongoing PDCA & improvement.
- Stay current with NQF, AHRQ, CHA, Leapfrog, IHI and other clinical performance improvement measures & initiatives.
- Work directly with stakeholders on the design, implementation, and reporting of analytics, supporting data and technical needs, and future improvement activities.
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree required.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience required.
- Background in advanced pediatric clinical practice and healthcare data preferred.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement problem solving methodologies and lean leadership preferred.
