Special Education Teacher Position - Matoaca, VAPosition Overview :
We are seeking passionate Special Education Teachers for full-time roles in the Matoaca, VA area. Join our team and provide vital support to students with special needs, ensuring adherence to local and state educational standards.
Essential Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- Certification : Must have or be eligible for Special Education Teacher certification in Virginia.
- Experience : Experience in special education is preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge : Strong understanding of local and state special education regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- IEP Management : Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Instruction Delivery : Provide instruction that aligns with IEP goals and objectives.
- Team Collaboration : Work with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure inclusive educational settings.
- Student Assessment : Evaluate student progress and modify instructional methods as needed.
- Use of Resources : Implement assistive technology and specialized materials to support student learning.
- Record Maintenance : Keep accurate and confidential records of student progress and participation.
- Meetings & Development : Attend IEP meetings, team meetings, and engage in professional development opportunities.
