About The Position
Job Title : Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab Technologist Job Specialty : Interventional Radiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (07 : 00 - 15 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Not specified License : MD license required Certifications : RT-R ARRT, ACLS, BLS Must-Have : Ability to work with Philips Azurion C-arm and portable C-arm Job Description : Perform scrub duties for interventional radiology, vascular, and pain procedures.
- Work with equipment such as the GE / Philips Azurion C-arm / portable C-arm and contrast. - Maintain accurate monitoring and equipment setup.
- Conduct EKG lead placement and prep access site. - Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
- Conduct procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, stent placement, and thoracentesis.
- Handle catheter / drain exchange, internal / external biliary drainage, renal artery stent placement, ureteral stent placement, carotid angiography, discogram, dialysis graft interventions, and upper and lower extremity angiography.
- Perform thrombolysis / thrombectomy, central venous access (non-tunneled / PICC lines), and endovascular interventions.
- Complete modules required pre-start and potentially during orientation. - Participate in on-call duties every other week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 15 : 30-22 : 00 and Saturday 08 : 00-16 : 00).
- Work on-site for every other holiday. Preferred Skills : Experience with computed tomography, ultrasound, and IV starts.
- Capability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. - Familiarity with PACS, Siemens systems, and Cerner.
- Scrubs are provided by the facility.
