Experience : 3 years preferred, travel experience preferred (consideration for strong candidates without 3 years)
License : In hand preferred, temporary license process should be started prior to applying
Certifications : BLS, ACLS (via American Heart Association); NIHSS required
Must-Have :
- Charge experience
- Strong neuro experience (post brain surgery, EVD experience / ventriculostomy)
- Proficiency in EPIC
Job Description :
- Stepdown RN needed for night shifts with potential extension
- Must be willing to float and work holidays / weekends as required
- Experience required in handling telemetry, vents, IV start, PA lines, conscious sedation, neuro IV titration, and insulin IV experience
- Patient types primarily include pulmonary, cardiac, sepsis, minor trauma, CIWA, DKA, and occasional surgical patients
- Typical patient ratios are 1 : 4, sometimes 1 : 5
- Must pass EKG Testing; one attempt at the exam with an 80% or higher to pass
- Flu vaccine required; medical / religious exemptions and declinations are allowed
- Fit testing requirements mandate no history of fit test issues
Additional Notes :
- No candidates will be accepted if they reside less than 50 miles from the facility
- All time-off requests must be included during submission and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
