Course : Psychology of Coaching
This course provides an introduction to current research and theories regarding coach-athlete relationships and the coaching profession, including leadership, psychosocial factors, and performance of teams and athletes.
Additionally, strategies for effective coaching are presented.
What You Will Do :
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
What You Will Bring :
- Teaching experience is required
- PhD in Psychology ORClinical Psychology ORPerformance Psychology ORSports PsychologyOR Speechwriting.
- OR Master’s in the above areas with 3 years experience
