Essential Job Functions :
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Accounting, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for proper posting of deposits and maintaining online payment processing system.
- Duties include, but are not limited to, reviewing all daily deposits and posting to GL; maintaining electronic payment system;
- training school and departments on uploading fees and other invoices into electronic payment system; serving as back-up for budget secretaries across the District as needed due to extended absences and / or vacancies;
and serving as back-up for school store account secretaries at middle and high schools as needed due to extended absences and / or vacancies.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in governmental or non-profit accounting
- Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Strong math skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google sheets
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Good attendance record
- Ability to sit for long periods at a computer
- Able to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check
