Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
Soliant is collaborating with a smaller schoolnear Indian Creek, ILand is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about working with children with more involved needs.
Requirements :
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or munications Disorders
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Professional Educators' License (PEL), issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
The applicant will be supporting a caseload of 25 students, grades 1 to 5, 14 of whom have the SLP as their case manager.
School hours are 7 : 30 AM to 3 PM 4 days a week, and 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 15 PM on Wednesdays.
Additional information about the school, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.
As a school-based SLP, you will :
- Assess students referred for speech services
- Present evaluation results and propose IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals at IEP meetings
- Provide individual and / or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
- Provide reports of a students progress to parents.
- Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
