Bank of America's Community Development Banking (CDB) group is seeking a Relationship Manager to join our team. CDB is part of the Commercial Real Estate Bank (CREB) and is committed to building stronger and healthier neighborhoods in low- and moderate-income communities by providing financing solutions, including equity investments, to for-profit and non-profit developers of affordable multifamily housing.
In 2023, CDB delivered $7.1 billion in debt financing and equity investments to help build vibrant, sustainable communities through affordable housing and economic development across the country.
This position supports the South Community Development Banking team which covers affordable housing developers out of Bank of America offices in Washington, DC, Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa and Ft.
Lauderdale. The candidate will be responsible for marketing and coordinating the delivery of community development financing and associated banking products and services to a portfolio of client relationships and prospects.
Candidate must have prior Commercial Real Estate / Community Development lending and / or investing experience; affordable housing finance, LIHTC investment, GSE lending or similar experience a plus.
The Relationship Manager works with our best customers and prospective clients to create financing strategies for the development of affordable housing, community revitalization and rehabilitation.
Acts in an advisory capacity to assist clients in accessing all areas of the bank to meet clients' financial needs including Treasury, Wealth Management, Structured Products, and Employee Benefits.
Has strong working relationships with senior leaders in the affordable housing industry, CDFIs, tax credit investors, syndicators, municipalities, state agencies, intermediaries, consultants, and other lenders.
Proficient at real estate, sponsorship, and project financial analyses, and familiarity with a range of financial products and services.
Required Skills :
- Minimum five (5) years' experience working within Commercial Real Estate, Community Development or LIHTC investing
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of real estate fundamentals, credit training and underwriting, as well as sales training / skills
- Must possess the flexibility to travel throughout the region in support of clients
