About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : CT Scan Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Evenings, Monday - Friday, 3 PM - 11 PM, 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of one year of related experience required License : Licensed Radiology Technologist (applicable to working in relevant state) Certifications : ARRT(CT), ARRT(N), ARRT(T), or CNMT registry required, or State CT registry- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Must-Have : BLS (CPR)- ARRT- Medical Imaging- Time Management- Ability to float to any location within a 60-mile radius or identified float zone (may include duties outside of original assignment) Job Description : Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department- Perform high-quality imaging and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs- Follow standards of safe radiation practice, demonstrating leadership and acting as a role model- Serve as a clinical resource and ensure current standards of practice- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring safety for all involved- Practice radiation safety rules to minimize personal and patient exposure- Produce complete, accurate, and timely images- Prepare patients for exams and provide instruction and support regarding procedures- Assist and position patients during exams;
document any unusual occurrences- Facilitate smooth patient flow, scheduling, and optimal equipment / resource use- Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff- Assist with patient transport as needed- Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required- Take on technologist duties of other registered modalities as assigned- Provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours as per policy- Input charges and required data for procedures and supplies- Complete necessary paperwork for each exam performed- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and materials- Maintain technical operation and cleanliness of equipment and work area- Report equipment issues and log service calls- Stay proactive in problem identification and resolution- Establish constructive rapport with physicians, staff, and departments- Maintain skill levels through ongoing education and share knowledge with staff- Participate in clinical training, quality improvement initiatives, and professional activities- Ensure compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations- Contribute to accreditation processes as required- Demonstrate effective time management and adapt to changing conditions
