What you will be doing :

  • Perform daily payroll department operations such as but not limited to new hire paperwork, employee reimbursements, court ordered support notices, etc.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Supports yearly audits and coordinate month-end processing of reports, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Generate bi-weekly and monthly reporting for Human Resources and Operations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries about health, retirement, and life benefit programs.
  • Review and validate payroll transactions, including wage adjustments and benefit deductions.
  • Process benefit enrollments
  • Maintain accurate personnel files and handle employee change requests.
  • Process monthly billings and invoices for group benefit plans.
  • Support the processing of STD and LTD claims.
  • Assist in the annual open enrollment process.
  • Assist in processing employee 401(K) changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Ideally 2 years of experience processing payroll, benefits, or administrative experience.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
  • Customer Service minded professional with a desire to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
