Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide hands-on therapy to improve patients' daily living skills, mobility, and independence.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing and adapting to their conditions, maximizing their independence and quality of life.
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Continuously evaluate and modify treatment plans based on patients' evolving needs and goals.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy practice.

Requirements :

  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a home health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in documenting patient progress and treatment plans using electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to patients' homes.
