Job Summary :
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely handling of inbound and outbound shipments.
This role includes verifying and documenting all incoming and outgoing products, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Unload, unpack, and check incoming goods.
- Record and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments according to customer orders and company procedures.
- Package and label products accurately to prevent damage during transit.
- Create and maintain shipping records, including bills of lading and shipping manifests.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to specific weight , e.g., 50 lbs) regularly.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
