About the Role :
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Residential Construction Area Manager to oversee multiple semi-custom and production home projects for their growing portfolio.
This role is critical to ensuring that all homes are built on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Area Manager will manage multiple job sites, leading a team of superintendents and subcontractors, while maintaining excellent communication with clients, project managers, and the corporate office.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the construction of semi-custom and production homes across multiple communities.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget while adhering to quality standards.
- Lead and mentor on-site superintendents, subcontractors, and support staff.
- Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, safety, and compliance with all building codes and company standards.
- Maintain schedules, coordinate trades, and ensure materials are available and delivered on time.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
- Work closely with the project management team to review project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures across all projects.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may impact project timelines or budgets.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Manage the inspection and approval process with local municipalities and inspectors.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in residential construction management, preferably in semi-custom or production home building.
- Proven track record of managing multiple home builds simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining safe job sites.
