Hours : Monday - Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) works closely with the clinical staff to ensure patients are provided with quality care and service.
By partnering with the Hearing Care Professionals onsite, the PCC is able to provide support to referring physicians and patients.
The PCC will schedule appointments, verify insurance benefits and details, and assist with support needs within the clinic.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will :
- Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
- Place outbound calls to current and former patients for the purpose of scheduling follow-up hearing tests and consultations and weekly evaluations for the clinic
- Collect patient intake forms and maintain patient files / notes
- Schedule / Confirm patient appointments
- Complete benefit checks and authorization for each patients’ insurance
- Provide first level support to patients, answer questions, check patients in / out, and collect and process payments
- Process repairs under the direct supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional
- Prepare bank deposits and submit daily reports to finance
- General sales knowledge for accessories and any patient support
- Process patient orders, receive all orders and verify pick up, input information into system
- Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
- Submit equipment and facility requests
- General office duties, including cleaning
- Manage inventory, order / monitor stock, and submit supply orders as needed
- Assist with event planning and logistics for at least 1 community outreach event per month
Education :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree, preferred
Skills / Abilities :
- Professional verbal and written communication
- Strong relationship building skills with patients, physicians, clinical staff
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- EMR / EHR experience a plus
Work Experience :
- 2+ years in a health care environment is preferred
- Previous customer service experience is required
Industry / Product Knowledge Required :
Prior experience / knowledge with hearing aids is a plus
