Job Description
Within this Senior Staff Accountant position, responsibilities will include :
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and reporting requirements
- Collect & analyze data to determine the cost of business activities
- Work with operations, sales, and marketing teams to proactively improve KPIs
- Responsible for key cost accounting duties such as slow and obsolete inventory analysis and the standard cost update
- Provide financial support to the operations team, including cost trends, cost improvement opportunities, and profitability analysis of products, suppliers, programs and special projects
- Partner with operations in managing the capital expenditure plan and overall responsibility for fixed asset accounting
- Ensure that accurate financial records and strong internal controls are in place and being followed
- Assist in preparation of annual operation plan, long range strategic plans, monthly outlooks, quarterly reviews and other special analysis

The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this position, the successful Senior Staff Accountant will ideally have :
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting
- Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong business communication and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
