OUR IMPACT
Multi Asset Solutions (MAS) is a multi-asset class investing group that sits within the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs.
It designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customized to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of clients.
These solutions bring together state-of-the-art techniques for multi-asset portfolio design and implementation and reflect proprietary research and analytics conducted by the MAS team.
With investment professionals across the globe, MAS invests or advises on assets for some of the world’s leading corporations, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices.
Core responsibilities include :
- Evaluates MAS engineering resources for optimization across business growth, risk mitigation, investment research and scale / efficiency efforts
- Evaluate client, market and product prospects based on revenue opportunities, investment capabilities / goals, market share and league table rankings for existing and new lines of business
- Work with CIOs on governance structure including implementation of active risk budgeting and attribution, and monitoring of associated risk
- Run oversight working group which focuses on accuracy of key control processes and targeted control reviews
- Oversee Portfolio Management & Risk Systems across Asset Management which are inconsistent and make multi-asset portfolio management challenging
- Assist in the management of the Strategic Trading & Risk Solutions team which oversees primary risk management functions like :
- Portfolio onboarding support (account structure reviews & setup validations)
- Product Data Maintenance (maintenance of the MAS product catalog)
- Ongoing Portfolio support (support during restructures, post trade checks, daily trade reviews)
- Data integrity & cash monitoring (market value and position discrepancies, monitoring the overdraft report, oversight of portfolios across multiple custodians and managers.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years of experience in the financial industry or asset management
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- High degree of intellectual curiosity on the industry, our clients and our competitors
- Collaborative team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
- Advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
