Job Title
Quality Control Specialist IAs a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for checking, testing, and inspecting raw materials and products at different stages of the manufacturing process.
You will conduct routine analysis and tests of various component and materials.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods.
Compare the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
- Conduct simple tests, record results, and prepare simple technical reports.
- Under supervision, perform visual and measurement inspection tests including calculating distances, angles, radius tapers, thread, and gear data using complex measuring equipment (i.
e. Zeiss or Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machines, Smartscope or RAM).
Utilize precision measuring equipment (i.e. micrometers, calipers, comparators, master gauge blocks, indicators, surface gauges, surface plates, sine bars, etc.
to accept or reject parts so that product sent to customers meets expectations and quality standards.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and communicating required adjustments to appropriate personnel.
- Read and decipher complex technical drawings and incorporate tight tolerances into the inspection process.
- Input and analyze statistical data utilizing SPC software, document data obtained during all quality inspection processes, and examine statistical data to determine and maintain quality and product reliability.
- May act as go-to person for quality control inspection procedures and assist in training other employees as required on standard processes and procedures.
- Conduct training classes relating to inspection tools, equipment, processes, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- May direct other department inspectors at request of team lead or supervisor.
- Performs internal audits in accordance with Company and customer quality control standards.

Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience :
1-3 years of applicable product inspection experience.
Functional / Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and possess intermediate math skills.
- Exhibit strong problem solving, judgement, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Able to become proficient on the use of multiple precision inspection equipment tools such as : micrometers, calipers, microscope, federal gauge, Styre, Talyrond 73, FPI, video scopes, and lighting equipment.
- Ability to perform detail oriented tasks using basic language and intermediate math skills.
Target Hiring Range
Hourly : USD 18.39 - USD 22.16
