Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current regulations and legislation.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients, helping them optimize their tax positions.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on technical issues and career development.
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices, assisting clients in resolving any issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives and client needs.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, and proactively communicate implications to clients and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or MST preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on compliance and planning.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
