TITLE : Clinical Coordinator
STATUS : Adjunct / Exempt
Summary of Position :
The purpose of the clinical coordinator is to coordinate all clinical and lab activities related to the assigned cohort. The clinical coordinator will work together within a team of up to 5 staff members to coordinate clinical and lab experiences for students ( 100+) and faculty (20+) and to ensure program objectives are met.
The role reports directly to the Director of Nursing.
Supervisor responsibilities :
None
Essential functions include, but are not limited to :
Clinical
- Create the student clinical schedule for the assigned cohort
- Create the faculty clinical schedule for the assigned cohort
- Send Attestation letters to clinical facilities OR provide clearance documents
- Communicate with Compliance officer to ensure that students assigned to clinical actually have valid / active clearances prior to sending to clinical
- Ensure collection / filing of first day orientation clinical meeting minutes
- Ensure collection / filing of clinical evaluations at end of every Term
- Work with the lab educator to coordinate lab schedule with lab activities for students and faculty
- Execute the lab schedule to both students and faculty
- Ensure collection / filing of lab evaluations at end of Term, Pharm lab and IV lab
Simulation lab
- Work with the simulation educator to coordinate simulation schedule for students
- Execute the schedule to both students and faculty
Administrative
- Weekly collection and documentation of attendance from all faculty assigned to the cohort in Teams, and Campus Vue
- Place students on probation for NCNS or more than 2 missed clinical days. Notify business office to place a one-time $50 fee on account.
- Coordinate clinical make-up with faculty at facility or a clinical make-up ATI assignment
- Meet with students who are struggling, have SPIPs, or as needed
- Meet weekly with clinical coordinators, clinical liaison, simulation educator, lab educator and director of nursing
- Communicate on a continuous basis with adjunct faculty assigned to cohort
- Assist with preparing for SBON visits as warranted
- Duties as assigned

Qualifications :
- BSN required, MSN strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years of administrative experience; working in Higher Ed highly preferred.
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
